Dr. Yildiz is an assistant professor in the School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston with expertise in quantitative research methodologies. Her academic training and research experience are centered on measurement in behavioral sciences, including any combination of latent variable models, item response theory, and multilevel modeling. These skills have been applied across diverse datasets, including international assessments and intensive longitudinal studies. Her ongoing research includes the development of a longitudinal extreme response style model tailored to intensive longitudinal designs, with applications in family caregiving and mental health. This work contributes to improving the measurement and analysis of human behavior. She will work with the MPI team and UTHealth Houston team to advance the goals of this U24 project. She will provide expertise in measurement of human behavior (particularly with family caregivers) in the work related to the caregiving domain such as development of new instruments and validation of measurements for ReCARDO.
